Interns for Civil Rights Center
|
|
We are a small Berkeley law firm and holistic business catering mostly to communities of color, working-class communities, gays and lesbians, survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, and other historically marginalized groups in the Bay Area. We also offer low-cost empowering and healing workshops (e.g., theater of the oppressed, authentic movement, yoga, re-evaluation co-counseling, self-revelatory filmmaking) for our clients so that their experience of the legal process can be comprehensive and with the goal of raising individual consciousness. This is a different type of civil rights law center. We are seeking three dedicated part-time interns (unpaid) who will assist mostly with the marketing of holistic workshops/retreats, including mass-mailings, faxes, making telephone calls with a professional, articulate, cordial demeanor, and some community organizing.
Hours available: 11-5 Mon - Friday.
Time committment for each intern: 10-15 hours or 2-3 days per week.
Requirements: Completion of Bachelor's Degree, ambitious, friendly personality, professional.
Please send resume and cover letter, and state your available hours and days in the body of e-mail
to yyoungjazz@yahoo.com.
